Ahead of Geneva the Audi RS Q3 practical rocket (we added the last part) has been unveiled. Beating Mercedes-Benz and BMW to the punch with their own AMG/M versions the RS Q3 will be the first RS model in the Q Series family as well.
With a seemingly pumped up look the RS Q3 will combine the practicality of a small SUV but bring some dynamic performance thanks to its improved specs. With a sprint of 0-100km/h in just 5.5seconds and an electronically limited speed of 250km/h. Meaning that there will be no worry in getting the kids to school or to work on time.
The 2.5litre five-cylinder turbo connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission will produce 228kW of power with a fuel consumption of 8.8litres per 100km. This particular engine has been named ‘International Engine of the Year’ in its class for three consecutive years since 2010. Meaning that this is the best you can get when it comes to this engine.

The RS Q3 has three different driving modes including auto, comfort and dynamic thanks to the Audi drive select system. As you might have already guessed the engine response is sharper in dynamic mode as well as a more ‘intensive’ sound. There’s even a launch control function, in this SUV!
Pricing is set to be under $100,000 which is a first for an RS model and the model is expected to launch in Australia in the first quarter of 2014.
