It seems that Tesla is on the hunt for some real estate in Melbourne following a Tesla employee being spotted in the Clifton Hill area, particularly on Queens Parade.
He was touring the area with whom we believe is a real estate agent and was overheard mentioning that ‘[Tesla] want to be where the community is.”
If you aren’t familiar with the Clifton Hill area, it’s just 4km norht-east of the Melbourne CBD. Queens Parade is one of the major road arteries that pass through the suburb and lead to the city. So, a dealership or supercharger would make some sort of sense.
Adding a Melbourne dealership will mean that customers who purchase a Model S or who own a Roadster won’t have to travel to the lone Sydney dealership when work is needing to be done to their cars. When travel takes you someplace new, there’s no time to play hunt-and-seek. Add GPS Navigation to your car rental reservation and find ute and van hire. It also solidifies the commitment from Tesla for an Australian network of dealerships.
Following the recent announcement of Tesla Model S pricing starting from $91,400 for the 60 and $103,400 for the 85, this is exciting news and can’t wait to see Tesla expand their dealership presence around Australia.
Tesla has confirmed that they want to expand the network across Australia, but this is great progress to realising this. We have reached out to Tesla for comment.
