10 years and seven months is the time it took for Mazda to produce four million Mazda3’s.

2014 Mazda 3

Production for the very first generation model commenced in June 2003, and since then it has been one of the top sellers here in Australia. It is also probably a similar story for its 119 other countries and regions the car is sold in.

Making up 30 percent of Mazda’s sales volume, there’s a need for multiple factories to produce the car. The Mazda3 is produced in Japan, China, Thailand, and just recently in Mexico.

The third generation Mazda3 will be produced at these factories with its new ‘KODO’ design theme Mazda has implemented, but a new hybrid model will be added for Japanese customers. Hopefully something we will see here in Australia soon.

Congratulations Mazda on achieving four million Mazda3’s!
