Yes! You read that right. We are getting something shown here first! Whilst it is no Ferrari F70 we’re going to take it.
Mazda will be showing off the new look CX-9 crossover SUV at the Australian International Motorshow. With over 210,000 units sold of the current CX-9 in 74 countries we think this new model might do pretty well.
The new CX-9 adopts the “KODO – Soul of Motion’ design theme (fancy title for adding curves) at the front and rear. What this means according to Mazda that it is sportier and has a strong presence on the road….which, yes, we can actually see what they mean.
There are a bunch of new additions and updates to equipment including an “intuitive” Human Machine Interface which has audio, navigation and speech-recognition systems. There are also new safety features such as Forward Obstruction Warning, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Control.
The engine will be carried over from the current CX-9 which is the 3.7litre V6 engine paired with the six-speed automatic.
Make sure you catch our coverage of the world premiere at the Australian International Motorshow!
