The Kia pro_cee’d GT has proven that style and safety live happily together under the Kia banner with a five-star result in the latest round of ANCAP testing.
The pro_cee’d GT scored a 36.19 out of 37 rating from the ANCAP engineers, a convincing score that shows how far Kia has come.
The five-star result continues Kia’s commitment to introducing only maximum safety vehicles to the Australian market.
Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer Damien Meredith said the commitment to safety was a core of Kia’s commitment to the Australian buyer.
“We know that the majority of our buyers are the average Australian family and we know how important safety is when it comes to their family,” Mr Meredith said.
ANCAP shared that the passenger compartment held its shape well, and pedal and steering wheel displacements were well controlled. It is also nice to know that all doors remained closed during the impact, but could be easily opened afterwards.
Priced from $29,990 and packing 150kW of power from the turbo four-cylinder engine, plus a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, there’s not much more you could want from a hot little hatch like this.
