FedEx and Nissan have announced a trial to test the Nissan e-NV200 Compact Van in Singapore.

In a time where we’re just seeing electric vehicles on the road, particularly in Australia, it is nice to know that couriers are being used as a means of testing electric cars and their technology. Couriers, just like Taxi drivers, tend to spend more time on the road than anybody else.

The trial which is being run by Nissan and FedEx will start in Singapore but they hope after the completion of the trial it will roll out to other countries including Brazil and the US. The e-NV200 Compact Van is a commercial vehicle that Nissan hopes to bring to the market in 2014.

The e-NV200 utilising the powertrain from the Nissan LEAF however the body, as you might be able to tell, has been made with all the usual space you would think a courier would require.
