Whilst Citroen is a small player in Australia, they shipped 1.26 million cars globally last year and they’ve launched a pretty impressive diesel to the market.

Citroen’s all-new Grand C4 Picasso diesel is the first diesel car to ever be awarded the five-star rating by the Green Vehicle Guide. The Grand C4 Picasso beat out other much smaller and more expensive cars to win the accolade.

Citroen has fitted the Grand C4 Picasso with their new BlueHDi engine that achieves the strict Euro 6 emission standard. Their engine and attached systems has cut NOx emissions by 90% and CO2 emissions through a new Selective Catalytic Reduction system.

Fuel economy is just 4.5L/100km and the turbo-diesel four cylinder engine produces a respectable 110kW of power and 370Nm of torque.
