If you’ve been wanting to get yourself into an Audi Q3, but found the cost to be a little prohibitive, you can now get excited. Audi has announced that they will be adding a new entry level Audi Q3 1.4 TFSI, priced from $42,300 with the renowned S tronic transmission as standard.

With the popularity of the mini Audi SUV, the 1.4 TFSI will hopefully attract even more buyers with its spritely 110kW/250Nm engine that will push you from 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds.

As the Q3 finds itself in the targets of young, environmentally conscious buyers the fuel economy of 6.2litres per 100km and emissions of 145g/km should put them at ease. Especially since this engine is a petrol, and not a diesel.

Despite being only driven by the front wheels, you shouldn’t really miss the quattro system that finds itself on other Q3 variants. Really, who would be taking this thing off road?

Standard on the Audi Q3 1.4 TSFI is a refreshingly long list including: 17inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, leather appointed seats, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, front fog lights, automatic headlights and rain sensor, cruise control, roof rails, Bluetooth interface with audio streaming, Audi music interface, Storage and luggage compartment package, and the revered Audi multi-function steering wheel in fine Nappa leather.
