The crowd sourced driven navigation app Waze, has just released an update that introduces the Waze Voice Recorder. Currently only available on the Google Android version of the app, the feature allows you to record your own voice navigation prompts. Perfect for those very few people who actually enjoy the sound of their own voice, or who are simply not satisfied with the range of traditional and celebrity voices.

To access the feature, make sure your app is up to date, and Settings > Sound & Voice > Voice Recorder, and as Waze says “sing, shout, yodel, or express yourself however you please”. The app gives you a list of phrases for you to record, and reminds you to speak as clearly as possible, and to be accurate.

If you’re brave enough, you can step up and share your best lines on their social channels using #WazeVoices. Currently the feature is only available on Android devices, but the developers of Waze have said that the feature will be coming soon to iOS devices.

If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, check out the website:
